Strict quality controls ensure that the plates produced today continue to have precisely the same quality and appearance as when Herrmann Rorschach himself oversaw their production. With the collaboration and advice of the International Society of the Rorschach Projective Methods (ISR) we continue to produce the Rorschach® Test plates based on this highly specialised, historical know-how and on information contained in a comprehensive archive of original documents and instructions from Hermann Rorschach. As experienced Rorschach users know, the precise colouring and shading of the ink blots and their consistency and constancy over a period of decades are core characteristics of the test, characteristics that are absolutely essential both to the validity of results obtained now and also to the long-term scientific reliability and reputation of the test. Right up until the present day, each reprinting of the plates themselves requires enormous care and technical expertise. When the ink blots that Hermann Rorschach designed and created were first printed, he and Verlag Hans Huber - as we were then called - developed special printing processes and techniques to achieve the precise colours and shades he had conceived. Since the 1920s the Hogrefe group has been the publisher of the well-known Rorschach® ink blot test and the related book Psychodiagnostics. They are produced exclusively by Hogrefe AG, Switzerland (formerly Verlag Hans Huber). * Please note that the plates sold by Hogrefe Group companies are the only Rorschach® Test plates authorised by the International Society of the Rorschach and Projective Methods (ISR) for use in Rorschach diagnostics. The test reached its popularity in the 1960s.The Rorschach is a projective test using bilaterally symmetrical inkblots in which the subject's perceptions of the images are recorded and analysed. This projective personality research method was created by Hermann Rorschach in 1921. It has been used to identify the main thinking disorder, especially in cases where it is difficult for patients to describe, or they have no desire to show what they both think and feel. Sometimes this test is used to study the personality characteristics and his emotional functioning. That is, testing is based on the creativity products' analysis, in which certain individual personality characteristics are reflected (projected). Such a technique serves as one of the best indicators of those personality traits, manifesting themselves in synthetic activity under non-directional association conditions. The ink stains' technique is used to determine both human properties and qualities. The Rorschach test is one of the most popular, widely used and objective projective techniques. It is available online without registration on our website! Just answer 10 questions by selecting the answer choices provided. Nowadays, the Rorschach test is often presented in significantly simplified versions due to mass distribution in social networks, but even then, it is a powerful psychological tool despite the fact it was invented over a century ago. The figure man sees does not depend on the spot (its form is as abstract as possible) but on the characteristics of their personality. The person is asked to tell what he sees in each spot, what the stain reminds him of. Since the answer determines the individual properties and inclinations of a particular person, which is what the test is really about. Each of us has seen at least one picture with blots, that potentially remind us of something. The Rorschach test or the Rorschach inkblot technique is one of the most well-known psychodiagnostic personality tests, allowing to investigate a human being in detail and determining an individual’s psychological disorder.
